I'DAD CENTER
Resources for a Child Who Has Different Abilities

Early Intervention Unit

At a very early age, the infant should be catered for and loved.

The family is approached through home visits to equip them, especially the mother, with the knowledge about causes of disability, importance of early diagnosis, and methods of preventive measures at the pre-natal, neo-natal and post-natal stages of pregnancy.

By providing the family with this information helps them to get through the stages of denial and learn to nurture and love their child as his siblings.

The mother is trained to apply correct methods of proper daily living skills to prepare the infant for early childhood education.

Also, the family needs are addressed in an individualized family service plan to cater for the individual differences and needs.
