Residential Apartments
The residential quarters are more than just a place to stay. It also provides rehabilitation and vocational training. Through the daily care of their personal hygiene, their room and house, shopping and cooking, outings and various other leisure activities, resident students are prepared to the greatest possible extent for their independence. Independent living is the main aim of the training programs at the I'dad Center. The service offered is a prerequisite for the transfer of residents to other more self-reliant kinds of accommodation such as the integrated group homes.
Accommodation:
Forty one students will reside in the residential quarters of I'dad Center. Accommodations in the residential quarters are not an end in itself, but a way of allowing those whose homes are too far away, or who have no family, to attend the I'dad Center.
To maintain family ties residents return home for weekend, public holidays and vacations. Life in the four residential quarters of the accommodation and catering is based on family like model. Even though every two residents have a room, they take active part in the life and activities of "their home".
Programs and services:
The resident students benefit from the I'dad Center's academic, vocational training, and from all other services available to complement their knowledge.
The resident students will take part in all therapeutic, social, and sporting activities offered by I'dad Center as part of a program tailored for the complete and multi-faced development of the skills and personality of each individual.
Activities:
To fulfill as many as possible of the interests of these students and offer opportunities for a better quality of life, I'dad Center organizes a wide variety of events and activities including outings, tours, camping, journeys abroad, music, dance, drama, painting, sports and entertainment.
